Here at the Ferry Boat we pride ourselves on producing local great home cooked food. Our Head chef Philip is meticulous on quality and he produces outstanding delicious creations to suit every palette. Our sous chef Simon is an extremely well seasoned pastry chef and comes with a wealth of knowledge creating mouth watering desserts all homemade from scratch.
At the Ferry Boat you will receive a very warm welcome from our friendly front of house team. Enjoy our range of beers and wines in a contemporary yet homely setting with a real log burner on cold evenings. We can cater for larger parties in our exclusive v.i.p room making it a ideal destination for special occasions. We have a large riverside terrace over looking the river Trent where you can sit and relax and enjoy a drink or two and watch the boats sail by.
Food was very good and the dishes were as expected. Service was reasonably quick for a Saturday evening. Very nicely decorated and finished venue.
Absolutely beautiful place and great food will definitely go back in summer as a lovely outdoor area, excellent value and good size meals staff were very nice , unfortunately I didn't get the blonde girls name , she had glasses, very friendly had a good joke with us . Fantastic evening
Lovely friendly pub we only had time for starters and chunky chips (wonderful!) Pir piri prawns delicious and pork belly amazing 👏 😋 thanks, 0 see you when we move! Called in again 3 weeks later got a lovely warm welcome from Steph, we had only visited once before, so great to be remembered! Took a friend for lunch, he had bangers and mash, we had steak and ale pie. Wonderful thanks!
Booked for the family this morning, 5 adults, 3 children. Greeted by a wonderful man upon arrival, who served us drinks in the bar as we where a little early and waiting for a couple to arrive. We where shown to our table in the gorgeous restaurant area overlooking the garden. The service was attentive and we where quickly given menus. The most amazing Sunday lunch experience ensued with starters for the adults and the children's food being served at the same time so that we could relax and enjoy. Roast beef and lamb cooked to perfection as where the vegetables, in abundance, with extra gravy and the best freshly cooked yorkshire pudding. Such a special time spent with family and a credit to the staff and the village. We will definitely recommend and be back soon. Thank you❤️
Had a lovely meal sat on the banks of the river with great service and views. The kids meal was fantastic and our little one is a picky eater!
