Beautiful little place. Food was lovely. Only marked down atmosphere as it was empty but I can imagine summer months to be booming. Dog friendly in the bar area
We've popped in for a drink before and sat outside but been wanting to try the food for ages and definitely didn't disappoint! All the staff were very friendly, we went on New Years Day after a long walk! Dog friendly was a bonus, very welcoming! Fish and chips were great, burgers great and the flatbread! We'll definitely be back!
We visited the Farmers Arms on a sultry warm Sunday morning. We chose this eatery as it's situated in a really lovely location next to the Leeds Liverpool canal. Upon arrival to our unbooked in advance table ,the staff were very welcoming and friendly. We decided to sit outside by the canal as it was very warm. You order at the bar. We decided to have a full English breakfast. We had about a 20-minute wait before our meals arrived. I do have some criticism regarding the portion size. It was shockingly small. It's more like a child's portion sizes. It costed £9.99. Therefore, I'd expect an adult sized portion. There was literally one spoonful of beans 🫘. The black pudding is sliced very thinly. Don't get me wrong, it all tasted nice. However, I wouldn't order it again at this eatery as I was still hungry after eating it. I know costs have risen, and restaurants are paying more for ingredients. However, what was served up wasn't worth the money. I've only been here once, so I can't comment on the portion sizes of their other dishes. If the management read their reviews, then take heed and increase the portion size on the full English to an adult sized portion. Overall we enjoyed our visit and it's a beautiful location very peaceful.
My wife and I only recently discovered the farmers arms - and what a wonderful place and setting it is alongside the canal. We were greeted by very friendly staff and as it was our first visit, we were encouraged to take a look around this fine old building, along with the fabulously new conservatory extension - this is where we chose to have our 2 course lunch for just £14.99 per person. The food was amazing and cooked to perfection. Thank you so much, and we will be back again very soon.
Popped in yesterday for a meal with my girlfriend and our two dogs. Loved the fact it askes how many dogs with you on the website. Very friendly staff all super pleasant and helpful. Food was amazing I had the salt and pepper chicken burger with chunky chips. We had the moulton cheese and bread for starter. My other half had two starters instead of a main, mushroom bruschetta and salt and pepper chicken bites all were absolutely stunning and we had eton mess and sticky toffee brownie sundae also amazing would highly recommend we will be coming back again very soon.
