Time warp. This is how pubs used to be and what is sadly lacking from today's endless gastropubs. Friendly staff, atmosphere, fireplace, live music. Love the entrance door which is a giant barrel. If you are new to the area or just passing through I strongly recommend going here.
So, there are REAL pubs left in this county, this is one of them and one of the few. Visit this pub, behave, chat to some genuine locals, then pass it on. Love the Famous Barrel
An absolutely amazing local pub with a great atmosphere. Good prices for drinks and very friendly customer service from the staff. Pool table aslo available.
Really enjoyed a few drinks here Saturday night. Love the door! Reasonably priced drinks, great decor, lots of room, pool table, friendly staff. Good varied menu, including seafood, steaks etc...
Great local bar, nothing too fancy. Warm atmosphere and roaring fire in the winter, brilliant beer garden in the summer. Live music occasionally too I believe. Good drinks prices, bar snacks, one pool table, a dartboard, and always full of locals. Dog friendly as well. A great shout for a drink on the regular, or if you're just passing through.
