The Cock Inn is a traditional local pub in Rochford serving a selection of great food and drink daily, along with some great deals on offer.
Reservation early evening pub was busy but not excessively. Meals arrived a bit later than expected, mine was piping hot, but my wife's had been kept warm, not cold but just warm. Didn't say anything as the staff were quite busy. Our meal choices qualified for a fixed price and, as such, we're really good value. Music was a bit loud but Good selection of tunes.
Booked table 32 for our Christmas Day celebrations and Dan, staff and chef did an amazing job. Food, service and atmosphere was lovely. Well done team enjoy the rest of Christmas love Graves family xxx see you next year xxx
Sue was the best, most friendly and attentive waitress we could have wished for. Delicious food, lovely atmosphere and left with a full bellies and smiles on our faces!
1st visit on Saturday, & definitely not the last! Food was of a good portion size, excellent quality, nicely presented. Restaurant is spotlessly clean & very nicely presented with attentive staff. I had mini baked Camembert which was served with lots of toasted focaccia bread & main was the chicken & ham pie which had plenty of filling For 2 starters, 2 mains, large wine, a cocktail & 2 soft drinks, all for just under £57! Amazing value
This was a lovely place to visit. We weren't too sure what to expect, but from the moment we walked in we felt welcome. We were quickly greeted by a busy man behind the bar, he was very friendly and explained he wouldn't keep us waiting long and would be with us as soon as he could. He was very polite and friendly. We were served by another member of staff, as she was free first. She explained we could sit wherever we wanted and that there were plenty of tables upstairs, if we would prefer and that we could order our food at the bar or on the app. We ordered our drinks and took them upstairs. We decided to order on the app, which was very easy to do. We had the turkey roast dinner and it was delicious!! The waitress that brought this over, asked if she could get us anything else, including extra gravy. We asked for extra gravy and some mint sauce, which she was more than happy to get for us. All in all we were very happy with the whole experience and will absolutely be coming back here again. The only thing that was disappointing was that they had no pigs in blankets, but this will not stop us coming back! I visited the ladies before leaving and was pleasantly surprised. The toilets are nothing special but they are clean, smell nice and have the added touch of having an essentials basket by the sink. Very thoughtful. Thank you for such a lovely experience!
