This place promises much on quality and quantity which it certainly delivers in spades. It's one place I don't mind paying a high price, it's definitely worth it. Cheerful service plus delicious numerous dishes for gourmet carnivores.
First of all, we got to the car park which was an absolute shambles with people parking in the middle of two spaces, parking in the middle of the car park and everywhere else possible except the spaces due it resembles a building site and has no lighting to see the very faint markings for them. Get into the “restaurant” and it’s just a glamorised pub that had a weird smell that greeted you which was a mix of gone off seafood, cheese and bin bags. For starters I got the Pulled Pork Doughnut which was okay. However, my partner got Calamari which was completely flavourless and came with an awful dipping sauce. This could have been made better with a lemon wedge which is usual custom for this starter. My partner got an Espresso Martini which was like paint stripper and was undrinkable. I thought this would have been better since it’s a well respected restaurant. For mains, my partner and I got a 16oz Ribeye Steal each. One at medium rare and one at medium. They were cooked to a nice colour, however, the meat was the chewiest steak we have ever had. Having to leave a large portion due to the inedible state it was in. We were very let down due to this being the first time we have been to a Miller and Carter and after the £115 bill at the end, we can quite easily confirm we will never be stepping foot in one again.
We dined here on a busy Saturday night and had a wonderful evening. We Had a booking for 8.15 and arrived a little early. Lovely warm greeting and was shown to the bar area whilst we awaited our table. Bang on time we were then shown to our table upstairs. Our waitress for the evening was Sarah. She was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. So warm, attentive and knowledgeable about the dishes we ordered. The food was great. My dad and I shared the Cote de Boeuf, it was the stand out. Brilliantly cooked and the flavour was excellent. The younger waiters who also served us were so polite and professional, a credit to the restaurant. Sarah deserves another mention as she was ace. Thank you for a lovely evening. See you again very soon.
We had the best service. The food was amazing and the staff warm and friendly. Our waitress Sharon was exceptional. We were also assisted by Shell and Miles who were absolutely amazing. My mum left her handbag there and they kept it safe and secure until we were able to come and collect it. Would 1,000% recommend you come and visit.
Went here tonight for my birthday meal and I literally couldn’t fault it. Was served by Julie who had wit and cracked jokes with us which broke the ice with my anxiety, she was very attentive to all our needs and really went the extra mile for me. Food was absolutely delicious, cooked to perfection, it was quiet and just topped off an amazing day. Two very happy customers.
