This is such a fantastic spot right near Liverpool Street. I make a point to have dinner here everytime I’m visiting for work and it is always a fantastic meal. Family owned business, they remembered me and my coworkers after 3 months.
I haven’t been here for a couple of years. I first came around 2017. Probably been 6/8 times. It has maintained what I think it aims to be - namely an authentic , genuine “local” , “ family” Tuscan restaurant. Not a West End Roman restaurant catering to different experience seekers after more formality. And that is how it should be judged by a different bench mark where it scores very very well. The food choice is a wide selection. It is good , tasty and promptly delivered with a casual ease which is actually very professional and not easy to do in a small space . That is also part of the charm, just seeing the staff and cooks just getting on with their job without any fuss. A very relaxed and inviting place to be. It is a big plus to the area by being different . James Richards
Overall a very expensive and underwhelming experience. The food just doesn’t feel great to the palate and portion size are inconsistent. The swordfish was unpleasant to eat (probably outdate) so it was returned. Small platters are not even enough for one person and charged at £15+ each. Porcini tagliatelle are charged at £40? Your although honest introduction about prices increasing can never justify this. The staff was polite although unfriendly. Would not recommend.
Ok experience. Wine was delicious but food was unfortunately underwhelming. I had the bruschetta which was just OK and the mushroom tortellini which was just OK as well. I may give it a try again, but overall was more disappointed than happy.
Ah, one of the best Italian restaurant in London. Fresh ingredients, delicious food. Service is so welcoming and friendly. They change the menu according to the season to guarantee the freshness of all ingredients and it’s absolutely amazing. Yesterday night I took my sister and mum to taste delicious pasta. The atmosphere is so calm and cozy, you don’t even feel like you’re so close to Liverpool st. It’s also a perfect spot for dates and special occasions- cannot wait to take my ♥️ there.
