Nice historic hotel in the green and colourful village of Eaglesham. Easy access to Glasgow and the other cities nearby. Great food and some fine beers and wines. Handy for trekking, mtb in the area as well as Whitelee wind farm just a 5 minute drive with it's immense trails over the moors.
4 of us went for lunch just before Christmas. Restaurant was very busy, food was excellent as was the service. Will definitely be back. Excellent value and brilliant staff.
Location is great, easy walking distance. Service at the bar/restaurant was extremely slow, wasn’t given cutlery/condiments so had to go back up and queue. Rooms was perfect for what we needed as a family of 3 with an early morning flight
Stayed at Eglinton Arms on business, a great little hotel with a lovely country feel. Rooms are very comfortable with everything you'd expect and with a nice bathroom. Staff are friendly and helpful. The restaurant is worth a review on its own, the food was excellent and good value. I was desperate to try the home made scotch egg. Clearly must be a popular dish as it had sold out. Would definitely come back to the Ellington Arms.
Attended a family wedding here. I can't speak to the rooms but the staff, the food, the service and the overall standard to which the place is kept is very high. The surroundings are nice too, even on changeable days like yesterday. There's a seated section to the side and rear that links to the large areas of parkland beyond. Tables were cleared promptly and the folk working couldn't have been nicer. If the food we got served is the same as you can drop in and buy, I'd highly recommend it for that alone. Also seems to be very dog friendly.
