Not my first time here. Will not be my last. You cannot go wrong. The pricing is very respectable for the food you get. Super friendly service and lovely accommodation staff. Food came out very quick which was nice. Little stingy on the nachos for £6 but other than that. No complaints.

I don't understand how a little pub in the middle of nowhere can get it so right. The waiters were friendly and nothing was too much trouble. They looked like they enjoyed their jobs 🥳. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. Maisie our waitress looked after us really well, always a smile at hand. The toilets were immaculate which is almost alien 😱. The glass of water my wife asked for was spotless with ice and lime. A last minute decision to drop by and have something to eat turned out to make our whole evening. Now if only everyone could follow this fine example. Thank you the star in for a pleasant evening.

We've been wanting to come here for a while and after a nice long walk, we thought it'd be the perfect way to end it. Sadly, the food wasn't up to scratch. We got a burger each and a mac and cheese starter to share. The burgers were OK, a bit bland and the sides were the same. The mac and cheese was a real disappointment - everything from the portion size (which was less than a child's portion) to the sauce just seemed lazy and haphazard. We tried it and it was weird combo butter and cheesy tang, though I'm not sure there was any actual cheese in it. The whole meal came to £35 including drinks, with the mac and cheese being £5.99. It's a shame because the area is lovely and the drinks were really nice, but we won't be returning here.

Took my mum for a roast here, Sunday last week, as she lives overseas and is on holiday on home soil. Both loved the roast beef dinner. Very lovely place to visit, as its so calm and relaxed. Returning this Sunday before mum flies back to Turkey xx

3 Stars across the board on this one. This pub can get very busy! Set in a lovely coastal location, The Star Inn has a lot of seating both inside and out. There is even an outdoor children's play area. The pub is old and has a very rustic feel and upon entering you need to wait to be seated. The staff seemed somewhat happy and upon being seated we were asked what we would like to drink. Now this review is based on a Thursday afternoon and we were pretty much the only family there. So service was pretty quick. The food was nice, I had the Scampi and Chips with peas and my partner had the Roast which looked amazing. The portion size was huge, so no complaints. I would give this pub more stars but for dining in the sauces were in packets and although the portions were big the food was not as tasty as I was hoping and was in essence a bit bland. I would recommend it if you're just looking for a quick "no thrills" type of meal.
