Delicious food. Great beer and a very welcome fire on a cheerless and wet day

A proper pub in the country, no fancy makeover. Excellent Harvey's.

Stopped here for lunch yesterday and... wanted to stay. The people were very friendly, the food was lovely and the views from the garden were just gorgeous 💚 I also paused to take a look at the memorial raised for the Polish crew who served for RAF Chailey (an advanced landing ground in 1943-45). I noticed a book on it was also available for purchase at the pub. 🤍❤️ Thank you for remembering the history and thank you for your wonderful hospitality ❤️

Great pub with good food and well kept ale. Able to cater for horse riders as well as cyclists and other travelers. Also has a memorial to RAF Chailey in the garden and information on the Polish squadrons who flew from there. Interesting as well as enjoyable.

A great pub for lunch. Our meals were really yummy and pub dog, Zena was charming company. The pub is decorated with spitfire memorabilia because it was a base for a Polish regiment during WWII. There's a memorial in the grounds so it's a good mix of interesting stuff, good hearty food and alcohol. Plenty of parking and stuff for kids to play with.
