Quite a sweet looking pub. The food was at best average but the staff were very friendly. I find it rather off putting when a pub has a warning about drug taking on the toilet door then gravel glued to every surface…. I wouldn’t go back!

Good scores for friendly service and lovely old traditional pub atmosphere. It was quite empty on a Saturday lunchtime so we were seated quickly and easily and service was pretty slick and efficient. The food was tasty enough and some good comments from the group on the fish and chips 👍. My lamb special felt microwaved, it was so so hot that I’m sure the only way this was achieved was with the help of chef mic. It was served on top of the roast potatoes which had gone soggy. That’s not what you want when you go to a picturesque transitional pub. Wouldn’t rush back for a meal I’m afraid.

Busy, friendly, popular country pub. Usually have an exceptionally good 'specials' board but on recent visits this doesn't seem to be available in the early part of the week, probably due to their busy weekend! Otherwise there is the usual standard pub menu.

Really nice little pub. Cosy. Staff are friendly and attentive. The lady serving the food was brilliant. Very friendly and we had a laugh. The food is delicious. Possibly the tastiest chips I’ve had in a pub. Portions are good. The only slight downside was my fish was a little slimey and the batter was oily. Nothing major. Other than that all good. Prices are reasonable. Would definitely be back.

Friendly pub with good food… what more can you ask for on a Sunday? Nice interior with an impressive fire place area.
