We were in celebrating our friends engagement, we had 2 drinks and were kicked out. The only mixed raced member of group was pulled out of the pub and told that he was not welcome back for the reason of ‘taking drugs’. We are a group that is all about having fun and love to meet new people and learn about their life/stories! We have never touched a drug in our lives but it seems that, because of someone’s skin colours we were asked to leave. This is not acceptable. If you are white-British you ‘should’ be ok! Go at you’re on risk to ruin your night!
Walked in on Christmas eve with my daughter who is 14. To be asked to leave and refused a drink even though there was another child much younger than ours in the pub. This was the first time we have been out on Christmas eve since having children and thought it be a nice evening with Christmas cheers. Unfortunately, it wasn't to be. Not a family friendly pub. And the landlord made it quite clear we wasn't welcome.
We didn't have food as it was late evening. Very nice and friendly staff and nice social pub. We had gone there as a group with some of the locals as we were in Ilfracombe down from the west midlands to play against the Ilfracombe table tennis club
I went to watch the Women's World Cup Final. The staff put a great effort in with swift service and face painting. Loads of different spaces to watch the game. Sadly, they were let down by their caterers at the last minute, so no food. I'll go back when I'm next in Ilfracombe.
Cracking old style pub, with various different rooms and snugs, plus a beer garden with a view. Great prices for beer and served by friendly staff. A choice of two or more real ales plus the standard range to suit casual drinkers.
