The Cwmdu Inn is a community run pub in a National Trust property. Real ales and real fires but no background music or games machines. Also, has shop and Post Office open Tue-Sat 9:30-12:30pm. See www.cwmdu.com for food and events.
Cwmdu is a small but vibrant village in the heart of Carmarthenshire. It has a strong community spirit which has allowed it to punch way above its weight in what it offers to local residents and visitors to the area.
At the centre of this picturesque village is the local pub and shop which have been run by the community since the year 2000. These amenities have lead to the village being awarded a Countryside Alliance Award as well as attracting royal attention when Prince Charles visited the village in October 2009.
So welcome to our little village, we are all very proud of it we hope that this website will make you want to spend some time with us whether you are a visitor from afar or a local resident. If you have any questions please feel free to contact us – we welcome any feedback you can give us.
