The Cricketers has been an institution on the High Street for many years, serving good local ales, beers and fine wines by the glass and bottle.

January's the cruelest month, as many shops, pubs and restaurants in tourist/student places are closed. We happened by for a swift, Brewmaster and Whitstable Pale were on hand pump. The pale was crystal clear and tasted bright along with a sparkling lying clean glass. The log burner was going at the rear of the pub, where the clean toilets can be found. The landlady was discussing the dilemma of Jan opening whilst putting fresh roses into cleaned small vases for each table. It's a Shepherd Neame pub with well kept beer, so too good to just let the students have it.

One of my favorite place in Canterbury for some amazing refreshments. Best Pimms in the town, nice and a cossy place to chat and enjoy your meal with family and friends.

Lovely quaint little pub with a really nice feel and atmosphere. The pub benefited from a cozy outdoor area to the rear, a bit of a sun trap (which I loved) and shaded area too. A great menu at reasonable prices.. we did not have time to sample the food but enjoyed a lovely alcoholic beverage. Prices slightly steep (but guess that's Canterbury prices) The staff were very friendly along with the what appeared to be regulars. Toilets clean and tidy. All in all and lovely, jolly little pub. We would return.
