We are a small village local adjacent to the Deerness Valley Walk, all hikers, bikers and ramblers are welcome if food required please phone us beforehand. We have real coal fires, show a vast array of sports - football, cricket, golf, racing etc. We do a Sunday Lunch carvery which consists of 2 home roasts, and a choice of 7-8 fresh cooked vegetables, we would love to see both new and old customers call in on Sundays. We hold a disco once a month and parties can be catered for.
We have just held 'the worlds highest mobile bungee jump' which was a roaring success and intent to keep this an annual occurrence. We are pet friendly, and families can be catered for.

They keep a regular cask ale from Durham Brewery which is always in great nick. It's wonderful to sit outside and watch the cars drive by.
Friendly staff, good guest real ale, open fire, wish I could have stayed longer....
Fairly basic country pub but it's got everything you need. Good selection of beers and wine and friendly staff.
