What a cracking pub, right by the rail and by station Great beers, really warm welcome, the bar staff were really helpful and we had the local battered fish of the day and chips, it was epic 😀 Great pint of Guinness there too Happy to recommend!

Steak dinner was really enjoyable, as was the breakfast. Good atmosphere in the bar/ restaurant area. Rooms were spacious and airy.

Lovely place and very handy. We only booked one night. We visited family on the Friday in Penzance and then travelled to Newquay on the Saturday for the lads county Darts Warwickshire v Cornwall. On arrival the kitchen had closed in the pub so we had a meal in the Indian restaurant a couple of doors up the street. The staff were excellent at check-in and the rooms were very pleasant with free WiFi. The bed was extremely comfortable and despite a bit of traffic noise we slept very well and had to be up at 7 anyway. We'd got breakfast with our booking and a very pleasant young chap brought us a lovely cooked Cornish breakfast with tea, coffee and toast. Cereal was available also but we didn't partake. There is no parking at the hotel but there is a large carpark about 80 meters away which is free overnight. We arrived at the hotel at 9pm and left the carpark at 8.30am and the charge was £2. The hotel is opposite the railway and bus station on the seafront. I will definitely book there again as it was perfect for our needs.

I arrived with my baby to this hotel and was greeted by a really friendly member of staff who showed me to my room and helped with bags. I then came down to order lunch from a super friendly and helpful waitress. While waiting for our food the chef came out and brought some fruit for my baby so I could enjoy my lunch! It’s unusual to experience such warmth and friendliness in any establishment! I was blown away by the staff and hope to return soon. Thank you

Arrived and was promptly seated, had a short wait to be served for food but we didn't mind as we just had a drink while we waited. The staff were incredibly friendly and the food was excellent. I had the scampi and chips and was impressed by the portion size. Two of us ate dinner and had 4 pints, costing around £50.
