Formerly 'Molly Moggs', the Compton Cross on the corner of Old Compton Street and Charing Cross Road in Soho is an intimate venue famous for live cabaret and perfect for pre-theatre drinks and parties
A public house since at least 1731 and previously located at 17 Little Compton Street before the roads west and east of Greek Street were merged in 1896, the pub was known as the Coach & Horses until its name was changed in 1996.
The Compton Cross is now a proud part of Shepherd Neame's estate of pubs and hotels across the South East.
Great selection of drinks...Beer well kept and negroni was really good!!!!! Staff very helpful especially a bar person in Metallica t-shirt was very helpful with direction. It is nice that finally a customer's are welcomed with smile and friendly service!!!! I will be back.
This is a pub you need to stop by if you're in the area and have a beer or two. The building itself is very unique with a warm interior and a lively atmosphere.
I never plan to come to this pub but it's one that's nice to stop by on the way past. A surprisingly cosy and quiet little refuge along busy Charing Cross Road.
Had lunch but they did not have three of our first choices which was a bit annoying having to keep choosing again. However, what we eventually settled on was very nice and service friendly. Be careful on the stairs!!
A lovely old pub was not that busy when we popped in for a drink before a theatre show. It's a very small pub but warm and welcoming.
