The Commercial Inn is a centre of the community: a traditional pub where you are guaranteed good beer, good food and great company. We serve a large range of cask ale, wine and spirits in a comfortable lounge benefiting from a log fire in winter, and air conditioning in the summer. There is a games room, and major sporting events are shown on the large screens in the bar. Our customers can enjoy freshly prepared quality food in a separate dining room (see Dining tab for details ). We often feature live music on Saturday nights, and also have a newly refurbished upstairs function room. New visitors (and their muddy pawed four legged friends!) are assured of a warm welcome. I absolutely love this pub, I can't even express how much! Anthony and Leanne who own it are incredible, they make/run their friendly community pub very homely and friendly! Dogs are welcome and I'm sure I've even seen a kangaroo once. Home cook food served and all kitchen staff and waitresses are so welcome and friendly. The pub does pub quizes and the world famous meat draw and if they don't sway you a crackling warm log fire with music and a glass of wine should. Atmosphere is everything and that's what this pub has. I don't often write big reviews but this genuinely deserves one.
Great pub! Excellent food, service & lovley atmosphere. Had Christmas Dinner there yesterday, it was superb!!! I would highly recommend.

Considering we were visitors we were made extremely welcome, a good atmosphere with a good, friendly sense of humour. Thanks to "Mick" the taxi driver. This was our first visit to Glossop and it certainly won't be our last.
Completed a hike around Glossop / Peak District area so stopped by to have dinner there. It was very busy and we didn't have a reservation but the staff were lovely and accommodated us. I ordered their Sunday Roast lamb. Everything was excellent and portion was decent. Reasonable price. Friendly and attentive staff all the way through. Thank you! Highly recommend this place for their food and service.
