We will be opening again in late March and can't wait to show off our new look and our fantastic new draught range including local cask ales and craft beers from Meantime. We have also enjoyed pulling together our eclectic range of wines and spirits including an extensive gin selection. We also have a great range of teas & coffees and have been doing lots of training to make sure they are all served perfectly.
On the food front we are very happy to offer some really excellent Sunday Roasts and during the week some juicy burgers alongside pub classics such as fish and chips and steaks - they all go brilliantly with our beers! Not that hungry? We recommend choosing from our delicious snacks and sharing range.

Our experience dining at this establishment was awful. We booked for a large party celebrating our granddaughters birthdays. The food was of a very poor standard, cold, dry, things left off, terrible presentation to name but a few of the issues we had. The food must have sat out in the kitchen for a long time before being served as the gravy was congealed and the mash potato resembled a clod of an unpleasant substance. It appeared that our complaints were inevitable by the reaction of the Manager. He was extremely apologetic and understanding no doubt embarrassed by the food standard being served. I’m glad other reviewers appear to rate their experience much better, but it certainly was not the case for us. Sadly it has left a lasting affect and we would never visit again.
Went for a family party on Saturday so out of towners. Venue is in an amazing location. It was dark when we arrived but you could still see the view! Stunning! Staff were very friendly and efficient. Party food was lovely. Saw a few of the main meals downstairs too and they looked amazing. Lovely light decor and a great feel to the place.
Absolutely dire. The queue at the bar was ridiculous, no urgency from bar staff. The service in the kitchen could have been no better as we waited 45 minutes for food. The service in the dining room also had no urgency, having to ask for salt, this should be basic stuff for a food establishment. Ordered fish and chips... Well there wasn't even a mouthful of fish in the burnt tasting batter I was served, the mushy peas portion was an embarrassment and my bread was 1 missing butter and 2 been sat under heat lamps so long it was now toast. When a man claiming to be a regular 3 time a week customer asked where his food was as it had been half an hour the server was frankly rude, starting she had not been to check since he last asked as she was busy clearing tables. Instead of clearing tables from customers who had left, she should have been looking after the ones still seated. Another table pre-ordered Christmas dinner and when the server was asked about a refund she told them she didn't deal with refunds and they'd have to see a manager but none appeared even half an hour later. I won't be back and I'll be telling everyone I know to stay away. You'd be 100% better off getting Mick's and eating it in your car
Had gammon steak very nice was puzzled why i was charged 99p for changing chunky fries to sweet potato fries when they were both £3.99 as extras on the menu! Glass red wine 'jam shed'. Two others had fish and chips which was enormous £13.99.
I was pleasantly surprised by this place. The location is idyllic and the building itself is spacious and laid out nicely with some nice views. I found the food ordered to be quite good and certainly above a standard chain pub level of quality. Staff were friendly, I have nothing but positive thing's to say about my experience here.
