Nice Decor and lighting. A large Pub/ Restaurant small private rooms off the main dining area. Good pub food at a reasonable price. We were their in January so didn't go outside but the Rams head has a large outside garden to the rear of the Pub which looks perfect for use in the warmer weather. Plenty of outdoor seating.

We decided to dine here recently and were extremely pleasantly surprised with the amazing level of service. Jack made our night and was just absolutely amazing, a really entertaining person to be served by. This was the best service we have had here by a long way. The food was lovely also thanks to Kevin and the kitchen team🥰👍🏼

Went for a tea night for my daughter’s 11th birthday with her friend and service was really good and food was delicious! Came out pretty quickly and looked as good as it tasted! Then when we ordered pudding they came out with a surprise Happy Birthday pudding plate for my daughter which was really lovely and made her night!

The food was fantastic and the wine list was very good. We drove past this pub so many times and finally visited for lunch while we were in the area. We'll be back!

Visiting friends who live near here and taken for dinner, booked for 8pm on a Saturday. Greeted at the door, shown to a nice table in the restaurant area; so far so good. After studying the menu for about 10 minutes, a waitress arrived to ask: “Has anyone told you what we haven’t got?”, which turned out to be about 40% of the menu and most of the options that we had already decided upon. We therefore said that we needed more time to decide. Eventually we ordered four starters, four mains and two bottles of wine (red and white). Upon bringing the white wine, the waitress at least realised that it wasn’t chilled enough and said she would get some ice. Unfortunately, she returned with the ice in a metal cooler with the bottle protruding from the top. After leaving it for us to pour, we realised that it was little less than room temperature and therefore asked another waitress to replace it. Before it was returned, our starters arrived. The interval between ordering and their arrival was far too short for them to have been freshly prepared, and we had almost finished them before our white wine returned (at a just about acceptable temperature). My creamy mushroom starter was okay, albeit a little bland. My crab and chorizo linguine was tasty, but a little overpowered by the amount of chorizo. Neither would have been my first or second choices. We ate, we paid, and we even left a tip (because the waitresses were pretty friendly), but this was a poor experience. This place is an historic coaching inn, in a great location, with a lovely outdoor seating area. To brand themselves as a gastropub, however, they need to manage food & wine stocks better and ensure that they have sufficient, suitably-trained staff. The prices were far too high for the services we received.
