Lovely atmosphere but if the food could be a bit better quality that would be nice. The service was fine. The food was hot but a little better quality and it would be great.
The staff were very friendly & efficient. The table was lovely for a bigger group (7 of us) as was round and in the window. The food was delicious and good value. I especially liked the mini desserts with coffee
Essentially, we think this is the best place in Holmes Chapel for food and drinks. Extensive menu which caters for all tastes and appetites. The cottage pie is simply sensational - try it, you will not be disappointed! Better than we can do at home was our verdict last Saturday. We always have really good food here. Great service as always from what is clearly a a very dedicated and hard working team. The Red Lion is a real gem, try it - you won't be disappointed.
Great tasty good. Third time now that we have visited the Old Red Lion and on each occasion the food and service have been exemplary. Highly recommended! Reasonable prices as well.
Hi we returned to the venue. Alas nothing as changed . Food dry and tasteless steak over cooked and not as ordered. Chips were rock hard and cold,burger buns wet and inedible. Won’t be going back Just to say guys I have started to ask how many stars awarded on the hygiene chart I asked the girl behind the bar she said 5* and the card was in the front window I couldn’t see it so sorry no photo You would think with the cost of living being so high they would push the boat out a little but not there.
