The Centurion is at the centre of the Vicars Cross Community and is very much part of its social and cultural heart.
The Centurion offers a range of social opportunities for all age groups of the local community and is the only fully licensed facility in Vicars Cross. It offers a wide range of beers including cask ales from a number of local Brewers.
The pub celebrates its 50th Anniversary this year having opened late on in 1966, it is an extremely family friendly hostelry offering a range of activities for all.
We are able to accommodate birthday and christening parties, funeral wakes, coffee mornings, car boot sales,group training courses for IT courses etc, group meetings for local associations such as Scouts, Football teams, School PTA’s.
There are regular weekly quiz nights details of which are elsewhere on this site and we also have Sky and BT Sports.
We intend in the near future to provide food in which produce will be purchased from local producers.

Plenty of sport on offer, pool table and darts. Weekly Sunday quiz in aid of local organisations and a regular music quiz. They have recently started serving food which I understand is good value for money. Worth a visit for the real ale at £3.60 per pint too. Usually, there are three available but, sadly, early in the week this is not always the case.
Great local pub, good selection of beer, had an excellent band on. I didn't eat, so I can't comment on the food

Welcoming staff, shout out to Steve. We had 2 dogs and 2 rooms. Both rooms immaculately clean. Evening meal was superb. Fresh food, large helpings and delicious!! Breakfast also lovely. No choice but a fry up was just what I wanted. I would recommend to all with a dog as lots of parks very close which were beautiful. Will definitely go back.
Went to the Sunday pub quiz for the first time last week. Excellent quiz thoroughly enjoyed it. Very much a 'locals' pub but was made to feel welcome by all. Special thank you to Tony the quiz master.
