Great to watch Football and The landlord is a great character, old school pub with old school vibes, be great once the rooms are open, lister parks on the door step so a decent spot to enjoy yourself at the right times.
Old school pub, good prices and friendly staff
Stayed her for one night , residents are moaning Karen's, but can't fault the staff , absolute Dimonds , especially the bar staff, couldn't do any more for you especially Kim and Cory.
A nice all round pub with a good atmosphere and not too expensive.
It's rated a 3-star hotel and realistically that's what it deserves. The staff were brilliant, helpful, cheerful and welcoming. The hotel is really dated and unless some serious renovation work is carried out soon . . . ! The flooring creaks and groans, the bathroom is functional, but the shower attachment fell apart; I'm not overly tall but couldn't sit down properly in the bath but managed with some imagination. In fairness we didn't really expect too much as the stay was reflected in the price - £88 for 4 of us, 2 rooms, we only needed somewhere to rest our heads overnight, after making merry at the Saltaire festival. Any serious improvements would mean the prices rocketing and I'm not sure there would be enough passing trade to justify the cost. I'd stay again next year, simply because it's cheap and the staff were cheerful.
