The Carlton Arms is situated just one mile north of Cambridge City Centre and is run by Trudy Nixon, who has strived to make this traditional community pub a great place for people to meet and socialise while they enjoy great food and drink.
Why not come along and enjoy a bite to eat? Our food is cooked to order from locally sourced produce. All our dishes are homemade and freshly prepared to order, including some mouth-watering traditional homemade favourites.
We offer a range of draught lagers, five cask ales and seven traditional ciders, together with an excellent selection of wines, spirits, soft drinks, coffees and tea. The Carlton Arms also holds an annual beer festival, which is hugely successful, and we have a fantastic reputation for our real ales, because of which we feature in The Good Beer Guide.
The pub has a large car park and beer garden including a bouncy castle and children’s play area.
We cater for private functions for up to 100 people for weddings, birthdays and funeral wakes.
Super surroundings, friendly faces and a relaxed environment make The Carlton Arms the perfect place to unwind and enjoy quality food and drink.
Come and try our Sunday Carvery, served between 12 noon and 4pm every Sunday. All freshly cooked on the premises, at an unbelievable price of just £9.99!.

Good chips and good pies, reasonably priced. Fab cooked breakfasts. Must come back for a Sunday roast...
Last day of work 22nd December. Super busy and took nearly an hour for the breakfast to come. Was totally delicious mind you!!! Will deffo have to come back when it's NOT Xmas and every man and his dog is there!!!
Can not fault this place. Thank you Sue, for her helpful advice. Recommend any one to this pub. The Christmas menu looks fab too.
We had our mother's wake at the Carlton arms, and we were certainly not let down. The food was lovely and plentiful. Tea and coffee were provided for those who didn't want anything from the bar. We were able to play a PowerPoint of photos on the TV screen. The staff were very kind to us. We are grateful that everything went well on such a difficult day.
Went for a Sunday Cavalry, had to wait one hour before we could eat, luckily food was still warm, staff seemed miserable and stressed, making their unhappiness visible and vocal. Two ladies besides us complained and the feedback from the staff was unpleasant, no communication for why we had to wait for so long.
