My wife and I were enthralled by the traditional music, warm atmosphere, and friendly musicians. It was the highlight of our trip to Scotland and a beautiful memory we will hold forever ❤️

A great local folk pub. Always welcoming and have a nice couple of ales on cask at all times. A nice range of music being played at all times of day, always raw and unamplified, makes for a quieter more pleasant pub to be in. The staff all seem to have been there for years and know all their drinks well, and happy to give good recommendations. I regularly visit here whenever in that part of Edinburgh, even if just for one pint to sit an enjoy music and the friendly atmosphere.

Great bar with a good selection of booze. I was there for the One Singer One a Song night on Wednesdays. Lots of great local talent! Edit: yeah I was the mandolin guy :)

Incredible gem of a pub that's authentically local and filled with warm cozy atmosphere featuring live music by local singers (amateurs and pros alike). Sweet bartender and friendly local clientele all makes for a charming and intimate pub experience. Was recommended to me by a local tour guide and I'm glad I came to check it out.
