It’s busy (today was a Saturday at 2pm) so I’d recommend booking. The food was pretty quick and really good. Had gammon, egg and chips, and a sausage and mash, both were excellent. Good parking, dog friendly and a lovely beer garden next to the river. Brilliant!

Had a lovely Sunday lunch there with the family. My grandad has mobility issues and the staff were super accommodating with a table that was near the entrance. Great portions and will definitely visit again when it the green around the river isn't as waterlogged from the storm🤣

I have been to The Plough numerous times and usually have a great meal there. This time however I did not. I ate the Fish & Chips and as the picture shows, it was very over cooked, was very dry and not enjoyable to eat. My friend however had the Sea Bass fillets and throughly enjoyed her food. The atmosphere was lovely as it was quite busy and the staff are always attentive, friendly & helpful, just on this occasion my food was not good. I should of complained at the time, but I was with a friend that has just got engaged and I did not want to ruin the atmosphere. I will definitely go back to The Plough as I hope that this is just a hiccup and look forward to eating better food next time.

Popped in for a drink with a mate after work. The single star is due to the state of the loos and the smell that made it right through to the bar. The toilets were worse than Corby skateparks’! The urinals look to be leaking, there are holes in the walls, the walls are covered in grease stains. The soap had run out and didn’t work properly anyway - are the staff using another loo or not washing their hands. We were sitting in the main bar, about 20-30 paces away from the loos and we’d get wafts of stale urine wafting past. I’ve drunk in plenty of rough pubs in my time, but this isn’t one of those, it’s a nice countryside pub. The state of the loos put me off eating. If the staff can’t keep the loos clean, why would I think the kitchen would be any better. Good bits - the beer was lovely. The staff were friendly. In the summer the river view is beautiful.

Fairly a long time to wait for the food to arrive and it not being satisfactory warm. Lovely atmosphere though, busy, nice vibe and great nature views just by the river. Super friendly staff.
