Hotel is old and dated, but that was as expected based on other reviews and the posted age is the hotel. Room was large for 3 adults. Floorboards loud. Nice den with a small billiards table. Breakfast was good. Staff were pleasant.

Good place to stay with friendly staff. Stayed in the in the rooms adjacent to the hotel. Excellent view. Rooms are clean but a little bit tired. Wouldn't put me off going back.

We had room 15, which has a ramp (but you have to step over the door frame), walk-in shower, and a portable shower seat for accessibility. It's a HUGE room not in the main hotel building, but just next door with a nice little (free) parking lot behind. It has a big balcony with seating and views of the water, 2 twin beds, a leather sofa, 2 desks - one with coffee setup and an ottoman and the other with a chair, side tables as appropriate, a large closet with extra bedding, wall-mounted TV, and some extras like an ironing board and iron, hot cocoa, and cookies. The bathroom is large, and the water pressure in the shower is great. No conditioner provided, but there is shampoo/body gel, and the towels are big. It also has a heated towel rack and HEATED FLOORS! For a mid-range hotel, that was a very welcome surprise! The beds could stand an upgrade (they're fine and clean, but not the most comfy in my opinion), and the balcony is a bit worse for wear. Again, though, it's totally fine, and very spacious with massive sliding doors for lots of light and fresh air. The location is quiet and peaceful. There's a restaurant and bar in the hotel. We had dinner there, and I found the haggis to be quite good - more meaty, light on the oats. The cullen skink was also tasty - had trout along with the traditional smoked haddock and lots of leeks, which I love. The beef burger was a weird texture - very dense and tasted a bit hammy; it wasn't necessarily bad or anything, just not what we are used to. Hotel staff is friendly, and we enjoyed live music that started towards the end of our meal. The musician was so good we stayed a while longer and ordered Gaelic coffees to sip on! The food and drinks are well priced - €76 for 2 starters, 2 entrées, 2 bottles of sparkling water, 1 beer, 2 gin and tonics (one single and one double), and 2 Gaelic coffees. I also want to add that when I made my booking online, I requested a ground or 1st floor room. Not only did they accommodate that request, but they went above and beyond to give us the most accessible room possible. I provided no details other than the inability of my traveling companion to climb more than 1 flight of stairs, and yet they took it upon themselves to consider how else they could accommodate someone with limited mobility. Really lovely service from thoughtful people. 👏 bravo

Bathroom had black mould and room was not vacuumed in the three days we stayed. After a day away we arrived back at 5.30 pm and our room had not been serviced. Unfortunately with a little effort this hotel could , with its views and location be great but it's not!!

Had such a wonderful stay here. All the staff are super helpful and friendly. It's a fantastic location, right on the Loch with a beer garden on the edge of the water. The food is super. Good value for money. The drinks are reasonably priced for the area. The bar is very friendly and welcoming and there is a games room upstairs for kids. The only thing I would mark down slightly was the overall cleanliness of our room, which is probably due a deep clean. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!
