Came to Castleton for a random evening, had a drink in Bull Head, serving staff wasn't the friendliest but wasn't rude. Managed to get a table to sit down, it was quite busy with lots of people stopping off for a drink then moving on. We thought about getting a bite to eat but wasn't impressed with the menu. (Personal choice) there were plenty of options but nothing that appealed. Toilets weren't very clean, but otherwise a reasonable place to meet for a drink and chat. Best part about the pub is the open fire in winter. Makes it super cosy.

Delicious food! We stopped by after a few cave adventures and it was a great resting point. It was insanely packed when we arrived hut we eventually found a table. Steak pie and chips were on point. They also have special days like chippy Tuesdays and Fizzy Fridays where there are different deals. Great character and charming pub.

Good food, perfect location. I really enjoy using The Bulls Head when I am in the area. We called in on Thursday evening for some food and as usual, great service with the food arriving very quickly. We really enjoyed the food, it was delicious! The bar staff are always friendly and quick, a great experience as always. Looking forward to re-visiting and maybe one day staying! 😊

I had lunch at Bulls Head with friends after a walk in the Peak District. The food was great, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was lovely. I would definitely recommend this pub to anyone looking for a good meal in the area. Here are some specific things I liked about the pub: The food was classic English pub fare, but it was all cooked to perfection. The service was friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was warm and inviting. I would definitely go back to Bulls Head again. It's a great place to enjoy a delicious meal and relax after a day of exploring the Peak District.

Dropped in after a walk up Mam Tor. Quick few drinks and a lovely meal. Menu is varied and arrived in good time after ordering. The prices are reasonable for portions provided. We both enjoyed our meals very much. Bar staff were pleasant throughout the stay. If we head back to Castleton we will surely have a meal here. Would recommend. The only critique is the signage - no menu outside and there was no obvious sign that they were serving that day until we ventured inside. Would be a shame for people to miss out if they weren't as persistent as we were.
