Pub was excellent as was the food. Only marked down due to the problem parking , very limited on site parking, had to park several hundred metres away but otherwise a very nice pub with good food.
Revisiting one of our favourite gastro pubs since it's been under new management and what a disappointment. The food which was once exceptional, is now very mediocre pub grub. Had soggy battered fish and chips (not triple cooked as listed in the menu) and a bland pork belly and mash. The staff were lovely, but clearly overwhelmed and inattentive. We weren't asked how our food was and had to collect our drinks from the bar ourselves after a 20 minute wait, for which they had been sat at the bar for 5 mins... Such a shame, as the pub itself remains beautiful and busy as ever
Excellent young chap who was very attentive to our party of 5. It was a club night for a fathers gathering at the pub, not many eating. The cheesecake tasted ok, the base you could break a filling on, no fork, knife or spoon was going to get through this, tough as old boots… chef needs to work on this. Better during the day…
What a gorgeous Sunday roast that was. The whole family had the sirloin beef roast with a couple of bottle of pinot noir and a cheese plate at the end. I normally travel to London for a roast but I won't be doing that anymore, the bull inn exceeded my expectation. As you can see through the photos, that beef looked gorgeous and tasted incredible.
Had an excellent Sunday lunch for six. The staff were very attentive and polite. The food was very tasty. Roast chicken was great. A nice atmosphere. Parked on street outside the pub.
