We went for another meal at The Crown after Christmas Day and it was a very good meal with very attentive staff. The new manageress says that they are recruiting more staff so I'm sure the service will be much better ongoing. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to find out what your pub can really offer. I had a meal with family on Boxing Day, and the overall experience was alright despite only three staff working for a busy pub on the festive day, which explained the long wait between the courses. The food was okay for £20 per person (excluding drinks). The staff were tired and tried to serve its customers for the best experience. Maybe hiring more staff during the festive seasons would help reduce the long wait and improve the overall experience. I wish all the staff all the best and thank you for your hard work.
Best Christmas dinner out in a very long time. The service was excellent, presentation was great. Food was hot, and the manager was very friendly to us all. Will go again. Thank you
Food was fine, but service a little slow. There appeared to be only one staff member running the bar, doing food orders and then serving. Had the pub been busier this would have caused problems. Nonetheless we will definitely visit again.
Dropped in for a cheeky lunch. Not disappointed, service was quick and staff very helpful to find pencils and paper for our grandson. Meal was piping hot and good portions.
