We are a traditional family friendly village pub situated next to Wingraves' pretty village green. We serve freshly prepared, home cooked food in our restaurant area, or in bar areas if you prefer. We have a menu to cater for children. You will find a roaring log fire on colder days & nights with comfy sofas nearby. Outside, we have a fenced, childrens play area, or for older children, access to large recreation ground.
At least two real ales are available
We are happy to cater for private functions in our restaurant area from buffet to more formal sit down meals.

Sunday afternoon pint after rugby! Truthfully! Wish I hadn't bothered! This pub has been on a downward spiral for a few years! Very old fashioned inside but that is fine as long as it is clean! Sadly not! Everything you touch feels sticky and grubby! The latest landlords have not made any improvement to this village pub in fact quite the opposite! Food is available sometimes or sometimes not! Drinks are sometimes available and sometimes not! Beer choice is abysmal and if there is a bit of a crowd at a weekend it tends to run out! Obviously underfunded and I doubt the new landlords will be there long unless they up their game!
My visit was during a very quiet time so plenty of seating available. Staff were friendly and helpful. Parking was convenient and a decent outside area.
Very welcoming. Lovely fresh cooked food. Can just have coffee & cake or brunch, lunch & dinner.
Super friendly pub with a great selection of food. £8 for one of the best full English breakfasts I've ever had, and it comes with a free tea or coffee. Will be back!
Stopped in here on a busy Sunday lunch and wasn't long before all the outdoor tables were full. The kids homemade lassange was really good at £6.50 and the homemade pie hit the spot. Some of the veg could've had a larger portion but that wouldn't stop us going back or recommending this pub. Nice friendly service too!!
