We stayed for 2 nights the room was dated but very clean , it had really nice bedding and towels . Free parking but gets full . Breakfast was OK, with a small selection of continental and a choice of hot ,not the biggest portion but adequate. We did not eat here on an evening , people we spoke to felt it was OK. We found the staff very friendly although always busy , we drink cider and larger both nice also had a bottle or 2 of wine again OK. The main reason for coming here is for the walking, which puts this in a 10/10 location . The only negative and this is from a non dog friendly people was the wet dog smell we could smell on arrival, but it either wore off or we got used to it . Great place we will return .
The Buck inn is situated in Malham on the path 9f a few good walking routes. It's sn ideal place for a pub serving food & drinks. The food is good too, but. Because of the lack of staff this is It's downfall. The staff, all be it very helpful are pushed to provide a good service. On two occasions of visiting this place both times there has.been one staff member struggling to serve multiple customers. The restaurant is looking tired with a light hanging off of the wall with exposed cables in one area & an untidy/dirty beer garden. Real potential being missed here. It is hard to get good staff & the ones we met ate more than capable but need support.
Lovely atmosphere and amazing food. The Vegan apple crumble was exquisite. Perfect place to stop off before or after a trek.
Popped in for lunch and had a nice pub meal. The food was generous portions, great warm and cozy atmosphere, highly enjoyed ourselves. I really liked my creamy mushroom toast!
We stayed over the road in a cottage so this was our “local”. Good vibe throughout the day with lots of patrons drinking and eating outside. We popped in for evening dinner after a long day walking. Food was excellent and service was excellent and friendly. Highly recommend the fish and chips and my son loved the hake supreme. Love it that they are a proper dog friendly establishment.
