What a cracking pub which appears to be a terrific asset for the local community. 3 cask ales all brewed in Yorkshire - the Black Sheep Best was spot on. Be sure not to leave before visiting the beer garden if only to see the Richmond skyline including the Norman Castle.
The staff were lovely, the room was smart and clean. Great central location to explore the town from. Breakfast was efficient and delicious. We only stopped for a night on our way over to the Lakes but definitely plan to return again soon for longer.
It does what it says on the tin. Warm friendly and great atmosphere. Different games happening in the bar and football on the TV. Was great talking to new people and the locals love it.
Cracking little pub tucked away in Richmond. Beer garden is gorgeous, friendly staff, nice pint, lovely atmosphere. Highly recommend if you're visiting Richmond
Lovely, clean room. Ours was up two steep flights of stairs so may need to check accessibility issues, although it was fine for us. We had a view of the castle from our room. The tea, coffee and biscuit tray was replenished during the day. The breakfast was great and also vegan and vegetarian options. The staff were very friendly and helpful. There is parking along the road between 16.00 and 10am and a disc is provided for display. The town is quaint and lots of food and drink places. The castle opens during April, so we were not able to visit inside. The Buck Inn is a lovely place to stay.
