The Brown Cow used to be my local until I moved, but I still regularly go there for work colleagues birthdays/Leaving "Do's etc. Its a great pub with a lovely atmosphere, staff and surroundings. Only given food a 1 ☆ as I haven't eaten there in a while.
Pleasant atmosphere, good choice of foods and reasonably priced. Staff were attentive and helpful. I use a powered wheelchair and access was quite good. Accessable toilet is good but was bloody freezing on the day we visited. We had a Good evening out.
The Brown Cow is a lovely establishment & the bar staff are always friendly & approachable. The food is good quality for the price/expectations & the menu is varied with plenty of regular offers to drive custom during typical 'down times' My only comment would be that the bar service can be slow when the pub is busy as not many bar staff are working usually. This is not a complaint of the staff - only the staffing levels. FYI - We also love that this is now a dog friendly establishment & as a result we use it a lot more.
Ordered a starter that was fine. Main course my choice was fine, my partner,s was cold. Sent it back after complaining. Brought back same food, but microwaved it ,further complained waitresses said she wasn't sure if it had been microwaved.insisted a fresh meal was to be made.for what I had paid for. Fresh meal was given. Thanks. Must be under new management. Never had issues like this before.
We went for Sunday lunch. It’s a set meal. If you want extras, for example, mashed potatoes you have to pay extra. The roast potatoes were frozen. Not a tasty meal.
