The Hotel offers 35 en-suite bedrooms at great value in a town centre location. We also offer private parking for our guests and a wonderful Carvery Restaurant.
In the warmer months we open our delightful terrace for al fresco drinking and dining. Our 180 seater restaurant is very popular with all the Letchworth folk and word of our fantastic value for money carvery has spread to surrounding areas. We are proud of our wide variety of delicious starters and desserts and our mouth-watering grill menu.
The Broadway also caters for a wide variety of Functions including conferences, private dining, parties and Weddings. We hold a Civil Wedding license for couples who wish to make their vows in our elegant Ballroom.
Our Team at the Broadway try hard to understand the needs of all our guests and make their experiences with us memorable for all the right reasons. We have an ambition to be the first choice of Letchworth for eating, drinking and sleeping, we believe we are achieving this.

We had a lovely stay, food in the hotel was lovely and staff very friendly. Only had a slight issue with how hard the pillows were which stopped us sleeping very well. We would 100% stay here again just will bring a pillow of our own otherwise fantastic
We had a lovely meal. Nice venue, centrally located. Attentive staff. Parking adjacent to the hotel. Difficult access for handicapped to visit on their own. You'd need a carer to get the staff to open the disabled entrance. However, once we'd realised that was required staff were very helpful.
Had a wonderful stay, hotel, food, room, and staff service were great. Just a few minor suggestions for improvement would be; a brighter less depressing light in the lift, a better breakfast layout especially the cutlery section (although the breakfast itself was fine). Phones in the room would also be a very helpfull and a definite improvement. Over all well done and thank you The Broadway!
This hotel impressed us on so many levels. It is clearly very well managed indeed. The service was informal, but really very good, with a feel of homely friendliness. I was pleasantly surprised by high level housekeeping over the festive period. We were even offered room cleaning on Christmas day. The bar and restaurant services and food remained good throughout. Of course the hotel is old. That is why we like it. It is clean and excellently maintained, without detracting from the oldness. There are several things that are particularly important to me, rarely seen in any but very expensive hotels, which i found here. Things like beautiful paint colours and colour combinations, and the super quality and beauty of the flooring everywhere, both carpets and tiles. When we experienced a problem, it was dealt with straightaway. Two practical tips: the hotel is a popular party and function venue. If you are not a party guest, it is wise to request a room away from the ballroom. If you want to book during party season, do so a year in advance. We had an exceptionally pleasant stay and will be booking for the next Christmas holiday the minute those bookings open.
I'm being picky, but as a disabled person I found the location of the disabled parking bays at the back strange and inconvenient as the nearest doors were locked fire exits. If staff hadn't seen us we would have had to carry my luggage all the way round the building to the front door. The lift was interesting! A bit dodgy, no good for a wheelchair user, too small and might not accommodate a carer as well; the buttons too high to use on their own. Bath/shower no good for elderly or disabled and no bath grips. Besides that, the rooms were clean and comfortable and the facilities for tea and coffee were good. We had to have someone sort the bathroom light out which they did promptly. Staff were really helpful, pleasant and friendly. Food was delicious; a little expensive, maybe, but competitive with similar type restaurants. Cooked breakfast included was beautiful and arrived quickly. Wonderful overnight stay, thank you. Would have had 5 stars if not for the disabled issues. 👍
