Lovely find. Excellent food and large portions! I had the homemade lasagne which was amazing and staff were all lovely and accommodating! Thanks so much!

Beautifully located in the picturesque village of Ruswarp and the steam train runs right past the bear garden. Sunday lunch was fantastic, home made Yorkshires, roasties and gravy, large potion sizes and a great selection of meats and fresh veg. The desserts were fantastic ( particularly the sticky toffee pud). 3 ales on behind the bar and a lovely warm and welcoming bar area with friendly staff. The only difficulty we had was parking as there is no designated car park and there's limited parking in the village. Would definitely recommend though and would certainly visit again.

Great 👍 to see this place open permanently again. It truly is a hub for locals and visitors a like. I received a friendly welcome from both staff and customers every time I popped in during my stay in Ruswarp (June 2023). Fosters £4.30, Moretti £5.20.

Lovely Pub with great atmosphere, ideal for dog walkers , families etc … it’s just a traditional pub in a beautiful location next to the railway line where you get a a very close view train spotting the Steam Trains in the busy holidays and weekends… You Also will get to see some of the local reprobates exampled in the photo 😂

Very nice country pub, reopened Octiber 2022 with new management. Great food and friendly staff. Children and dog friendly with a beer garden/outside deck. The Bridge Inn may get it's name from the road bridge which replaced a tidal ford many years ago, but the real treat is the iron railway bridge close to the beer garden. I had great fun waving at the passengers on one of the steam trains - a "railway children" moment for me! I had Whitby Scampi with home cut chips salad and homemade coleslaw, the Scampi was cooked to perfection, crisp outside but moist and recognisable Scampi on the inside, the chips were excellent, like the best home made ones I've ever had. Others had Veg Lasagne again with those great home chips salad coleslaw and a couple of slices of garlic bread, also the burger (double), fries, coleslaw, salad and check out the onion rings! All together this is a great spot, lots of walks round about in the Esk Valley and this would be a great refreshment stop. Throughly recommended, food was being served 12:00 to 20:00 when we were there.
