Christmas Day loomed into view and we headed to the Brewhouse & Kitchen in Cheltenham for a Christmas lunch. An unusual venue; a social microbrewery with an industrial look, shiny copper vats. The staff were lovely, warm and welcoming, knowledgeable and friendly. It had a great ambience, and we soon had drinks then our starters appeared. Personally I felt that the food was the weak link in the chain, it was okay but nothing to rave about, nothing to mention in despatches really. So we had a great time, and we were offered scrumptious chocolate treats at the end for free. I liked it there, but not a Gastropub by any means. I’ll try it again maybe it was a Christmas Day blip.

We had the roast beef...beautifully presented but the plates were cold, which made the food go cold very quickly. The roast potatoes were chewy like the frozen variety and the beef was VERY pink (I know that's personal preference and we could have asked for it to be cooked more, but didn't realise until the very end, as it was well buried under everything else...Good size portion...with very tasty gravy). Although new staff training the manageress was extremely polite, helpful and apologetic for the delays. Based on disappointment of roast, I wouldn't rush to return.

Booked for a gym social. Service was excellent. Austin was the lead for serving us and was super attentive, polite and friendly. Vibe in the venue was excellent. Great drinks selection too. Food quality was good, only thing that let it down was that there just wasn’t enough. Several in our group didn’t have anything to eat from the buffet and a fair amount had a very limited selection. This (I believe) was not created from others before them loading up loads of food either. Usually for our Christmas Social the venue makes enough profit from the initial price to book and on drinks that they just look after us with plenty of food. As the business owner this felt a little embarrassing when clients and staff couldn’t really get a decent plate of food. Apart from that, a decent night out and would likely book again in the future.

Absolutely lovely Sunday lunch! Meat cooked beautifully! Our servers were all fantastic, really attentive, kind and polite. Especially Jordan:) We didn’t feel rushed, instead we felt very comfortable and cosy. Thank you!:)
