Single-roomed pub with a central bar behind which is the cellar trap door and its vertiginous steps. The building was first a pub, then a bakery, then a pub again. It was part of the local Trough Brewery estate until its demise. Minimum of two real ales on, with three at weekends, all ever-changing. Ales from the nearby Junction Brewery are often featured. There are two different real ciders always on sale and these are usually from the Westons range. It is locally famous for its regular live rock bands and attracts talents and customers from near and afar. It has an annual beer festival in August and also hosts a "Bike & Trike" show. The garden area is well sheltered.
The lady behind the bar was brilliant! I would highly recommend everyone go to see her! I'm sure she was called becky 😁
