The oldest hotel in Wales, The Castle of Brecon is a charming country house in a tranquil location, with stunning riverside and mountain views. Full of character, the rooms at Brecon Castle are equipped with everything you need for a cosy stay in Brecon. The restaurant serves delicious food, local ales and ciders, and there is a riverside terrace.
I didn't stay so can't review the room but the lovely waitress was amazing bless her.. the food was lovely thank you..
Beautiful place, lovely hotel. I do Love staying here. Great quality food, very attentive staff. It is very tired but still beautiful and clean rooms. Only down side was dogs! dogs and more dogs! My husband has an allergy to dogs. Which he has to take medication for. We did not expect to be seating in the restaurant with a dog. Not hygienic at all. While we were eating one came over and jumped up at a couple of us at the table. Not happy! If I wanted to be around dogs I would have gone to a kennels.
Absolutely lovely place. We stayed in 'Coach House' No2. A very relaxing stay. Very quiet. Food and service was fantastic in the restaurant. The Brecon Castle Hotel is highly recommended. We will be back. Thank you to all the staff for a lovely time.
Good value for money. Room was good size and clean. Mattress was a little worn but was in acceptable condition. Food in dinner time was very good quality and well presented as well as the service. Breakfast could be a little better quality. Was a bit disappointed after such a good evening meal. Overall I would definitely stay here again.
We had a truly great experience here. The staff team were wonderful (especially 'breakfast' Sue), quirky clean room, fabulous location and delicious breakfast. We would definitely come back.
