Great pub to go to.so friendly and welcoming and a lovely real fire to sit in front of.🙂
Very friendly welcome from the landlady in this old village pub, serving excellent real ales. There was a pop up street food vendor in the garden - worth a try next time. Just loved all the history within the various rooms, especially the stone floored snug.
Met a couple of friends here whilst on a return visit to Kent. It is the sort of pub that made me want to return to Kent after 35 years living in Yorkshire. Absolutely excellent little place - shame that there was no food from the kitchen on the night that I was there (a Thursday). This is exactly how pubs should be: idyllic location, small, friendly locals, good local beer and a lovely landlady
They DONT allow dogs in the pub or the open back garden, we had to sit outside by the road, exposed to dirt and car fumes in the hot weather after a long walk at the Nature Reserve. There was however a BIG bowl of water for the Dogs by the entrance which was thoughtful. Drinks ordered at the Bar were Refreshing and the Restrooms very Clean.
A hidden gem in the Kentish country side, offering an outstanding selection of Kentish beers and snacks, in an amazing location with a heavenly garden. Super friendly locals and a wonderful lady host.
