SHAMBLES! Save your time and money. Staff told us she'd forgotten about us while we waited for order to be taken, we were the only customers!!. Very long wait for food, table of 10 arrived, it was tasty when arrived but small portions left us hungry. No one checked how the food was. Ignored when we finished had to go to the bar to ask for our table be cleared so we could order dessert. Partner even commented we could leave and they would be none the wiser. Apple crumble ordered see pic. it isn’t a crumble if you trhow a few oats over watery apple though! Dire! I couldn't eat it. Completely disappointed as its our local. Oh the hot water tap in the ladies doesn't work nor does the hand drier! 2 hours and over £60 wasted. Won't be back

Went for a midweek lunch and was offered the main menu or a set lunch menu. I chose the day’s special starter, Korean bbq duck, which was outstanding, followed by the signature burger, which was also good but I had to leave a few chips as it was a bit meat heavy after a meaty starter. Mrs D had the fish and chips, which she says was among the best she’s ever had, and followed this with a spiced apple crumble and forest fruit sorbet, also great. These choices both fell on the 2-course set menu at a great value-for-money price of £20pp. With a real log burner, subtle decor and pleasant background music added to the professional and attentive service, this was a great experience. In my experience the B&G always serves excellent food and nothing about the place disappoints.

Scottish Tasting menu. Bit late doing this review but I must say what a stunning meal we had. It was absolutely delicious. My personal favourite courses had to be the haggis bonbons and the Cullen skink soup. Wonderful host, exceptional service, beautiful food.

Scottish taster menu was amazing, cooked to perfection and presented beautifully. Staff were friendly & efficient. An excellent evening from start to finish. Would definitely recommend to friends & family. Special menu but can't wait to try the usual menu.

Been wanting to visit the Bottle and Glass for a long time, and was pleased to get the chance on a Monday evening. Walked through the front door and unfortunately the first impression wasn't great - the waitress behind the counter facing us, was in conversation with a table across the room, so we stood and waited for the conversation to finish. In the meantime, two ladies walked in behind us, and went and stood further down the bar from us. The waitress finished her conversation, turned away from us and went to serve the two ladies! In her defence, she did apologise and showed us to our table, but it was just a bit rude/ignorant to start the evening. The Bottle and Glass is clearly a beautiful pub, inside and out, well presented, well thought out and just a charming place to dine. The wine and beer selection is excellent, and the menu has a variety of eye catching dishes. We both had three courses, my wife the Beer Bon Bons, Rolled Lamb and Pistachio Cake (which was one of the best cakes ever tasted) and I, the Chicken Wings, Sirloin and Brulee. All dishes were well presented and certainly tasty, though a very minor feeling from myself was the chips were perhaps a little too heavily salted (but not so that I left any!) All in all, for £99, the Bottle and Glass is definitely worth the visit, and we shall be returning when we get the chance.
