Dating back to the 17th century The Bottle & Glass is a quintessentially English country pub which offers accommodation and is full of rustic charm and character, with oak beams, open fires and a wonderfully warm atmosphere.
Our carefully prepared menu which is inspired by classic English dishes uses locally sourced produce whenever possible and Jon can be found behind the bar serving some great local ales and fine wines all of which can be found at very competitive prices.
If you are thinking of going out for Sunday lunch why not try our carvery which is ideal for all the family to enjoy and for special occasions ask for details of our Private Dining Room which we can make available for groups of up to twelve people.
Whatever your reason for visiting The Bottle & Glass we can assure you of a very warm and friendly welcome from all of our staff from the moment that you walk through the door.
We look forward to welcoming you soon
Jon Cornes.

Can highly recommend and I will be retuning .the beer was good too .
Lovely Sunday roast. Missed the parsnips, though. It's great that we can take our well-behaved dog with us to eat in the bar, although it was shared that there are barking dogs sometimes that would have spoilt our meal out! But ours and the other couples' dog lay quiet and slept
We parked up here, went for a long dog walk and then went in for some lunch. Lovely quiet, traditional British pub with great and kind service and good food! Would recommend if you’re in the area
Had a lovely couple of drinks here on a Sunday afternoon. Lovely pub with very friendly locals. Will definitely return.
Many thanks to the owners firstly for the delicious food and lovely Hobsons ale we enjoyed there in the evening, but secondly also, for being a really helpful port during storm Babette. Helping us to find an unblocked way out of the hills by using the Picklescott FB page is definitely above and beyond. Very much appreciated. Won't hesitate to call in again during better weather!

A thatched 15th century drovers' inn which has been tastefully modernized. Although very much a dining pub, there is a comfortable bar area where drinkers are welcomed.
