Nestled by the riverside, this restaurant offers a captivating view and delectable cuisine. The serene ambiance complements the gorgeous river view, creating a delightful setting. The food is not only delicious but also served promptly. Despite the overall positive experience, I must note that the renowned Eton Mess leaned towards excessive sweetness, potentially overwhelming those with a preference for less sugary desserts. In conclusion, I highly recommend this establishment for those seeking a tranquil and scenic dining experience, with a cautionary note regarding the sweetness of the Eton Mess.
Went for a Christmas Dinner here yesterday. Although a pub, the venue is heavily tilted toward being a restaurant. Staff were polite and attentive. Interior well maintained with clean toilets. There was a bit of a wait for service to start, but we were a large party, so that's to be expected to a point. As for the meal, it was above average. Served hot and well presented. The Brussels Sprouts were delivered in a separate sharing bowl - good idea for haters! All the usual trimmings with the notable exception of cranberry sauce which was a bit odd. If I had to criticise, I am not a fan of having my entire meal pre-drenched in gravy. This wasn't helped by the gravy being heavily over-seasoned which smothered the taste of the meal. A friend opted for the beef, and this was tough and of poor quality. Not bad, all in all. I'd go again in the summer.
Amazing place. Booked last minute for my birthday while on holiday in Wimdsor, and was not disappointed. Food was amazing, staff were very attentive although busy. Couldn't have made a better choice!
Lovely place. Difficult parking. Dishes appear to be of good quality but be careful as it seems that produce isn't checked before cooking and serving. Can be noisy. Lovely views of river.
A lovely place right on the river. Offers riverside dining on the outdoor terrace. Best to request a riverside table when booking in advance though. Had a great menu selection. With enough choices to suit all tastes. Offers a children's menu too. Highlight for me was the lamb shank, meat was succulently tender, with creamy mash and a full flavoured gravy
