Betulla’s Italian inspired restaurant, located in the centre of the festival town of Ulverston, opened its doors in January 2017. The restaurant can be found on Queen Street and this central location is great if you want to have dinner before heading off into town. The restaurant offers pasta, pizza, antipasti and a number of house specials which change on a weekly basis. Betulla’s also offers a great selection of beers, wines, cocktails, fizz and soft drinks.
Booking is highly recommended to avoid disappointment.
We open from 5pm until 9pm Monday to Saturday, 5pm until 8pm on Sundays. We can cater for intimate tables for 2 right up to larger parties with the introduction of our new Cellar Bar eating area which can be enjoyed in private for larger groups.
Betulla’s has received a Certificate of Excellence 2019 from TripAdvisor and a 5 star rating in 2019 in every aspect from the local Evening Mail .

Great food. Best lasagna I’ve ever had, I’m a regular foodie. Constantly trying new places and quite simply this was the best lasagna I’ve had. Filled to the brim, came piping hot, loads of cheese, loads of mince and absolutely loads of flavour. Came with 4 slices of lovely garlicky garlic bread too. Proper, fresh, hot, soft pizza dough,m and not that frozen baguette rubbish you often get. Boyfriend had GF ham and pineapple pizza (well bacon and pineapple). That came on a sourdough base and again it’s one of the best pizzas I’ve seen. Normally GF are soggy and don’t have much filling but this came packed and was delicious so I was told! Nice accessible pay and display car park round the corner too. Only negative is please sort your menu out. The layout is just a mess! Good range of food and starters though.
Betullas you excelled once again! We were a last minute booking and last in the restaurant and you still asked if we would like desert! Beautiful food as usual and the crispy garlic bread in the side of the lasagne was a lovely touch! Great staff!! Thank you for a special meal!
A thoroughly enjoyable and delicious experience 😋 Dining alone can sometimes feel like your at McDonald’s with restaurants wanting to get you in and out as quick as possible so they can get more bums on seats, not at Betulla’s I was served promptly on arrival but then given the extra time needed between courses and not rushed. I had the arancini starter and the walnut and spinach tagliatelle for my main which were both delicious with good portion size. As a side I had the rosemary and seasalt garlic bread. I was unable to finish it all and the waitress kindly packaged up the remainder for me to take away. I can highly recommend Bettulla’s both the food and excellent service I received and look forward to being in the area next time so I can visit again. Thank you 😊 🇮🇹🍝
Booked at late notice and ended up in the basement. Seats (benches) are uncomfortable and it has a really grotty in appearance. I was prepared to walk out. Glad I stayed however as the food was out of this world! Doughballs and Halloumi for starters and Bolognese for main course. One of the best Italian restaurants I have ever been to. Staff were attentive and friendly. Highly recommended, just make sure you're not seated in the basement.
We visited Betulla's for dinner on 14/08/21. We were welcomed with a beautiful homely atmosphere the moment we stepped in the door. The restaurant is very very clean with modern décor. The food was absolutely amazing, It was very fresh and Could definitely tell it was homemade. I personally had the Pizza Polpette with loaded fries and it was superb. What a pure pleasure of a dining experience, The staff were very friendly and accommodating. This is a must if your in the Ulverston area. 10 Stars!
