A fantastic pub with excellent service atmosphere and staff to ensure all the above are ensured. Minutes away from Twyford train station they have cleverly installed a live train arrival/departure screen. Some excellent ales available and 2 large screens showing sports, plus they have live music regularly. Always receive a warm welcome and the staff are very attentive, going beyond what you would normally expect from a pub. Whats not to like. Highly recommended.

I’m a gender fluid person and went to use the women’s toilets, the manager shouted NO then followed me into the toilets grabbed me by the arm said that I couldn’t be there I then explained my gender position and he told me “we don’t do that here” then felt like he was watching me all night. I wouldn’t recommend to any LGBTQ+ People I was made to feel very uncomfortable hope they educate themselves soon

Good ale in this pub(Timothy Taylor) and excellent music on Wednesday nights. One thing to point out however. The cost of a pint was five pounds and thirty pence.I paid in coins with three pound coins and silver coins to make five pounds. The remaining thirty pence I paid in two's and pennies to the girl behind the bar. I had sat down to enjoy when another lady behind the bar came over and told me that they won't be accepting these brown coins. She informed me that there would be an issue bagging these. It didn't quite make sense to me and I asked her were these still legal tender. She said yes they were but hardly anyone uses these. I told her I had received these in change in another pub. Anyway I paid the remaining thirty pence (not in brownies). Other than that I had a wonderful night of fabulous music.

The pub is a very short walk from the Twyford Station (less than 5 minutes). A sizeable place inside with an equally spacious beer garden. The barmaid was wonderful and happy to chat about the pub, both as it is now as well as it's history. The pub is a member of Timothy Taylor's Champion Club, so if you like any of their beers, this is the place to go. Lots of Guinness paraphernalia around the walls including prints taken from the 1981 Guinness calendar. As you would expect, the Guinness was excellent as was the Timothy Taylor Knowle Spring.

Good service and maintains a well-kept selection of beers and other drinks. It's always great to find a pub that offers a variety of beverages and provides attentive service.
