Hucknall's first micro-pub. This former shop has been converted to a friendly & TV-free real ale and cider pub
The emphasis is on conversation and good company. The unique Flying Bedstead pub sign (from the nearby pub that closed shortly before the Beer Shack opened) is displayed on one wall with the Harrier pub sign (another lost Hucknall pub) displayed on another wall. Up to 12 ciders are available and high quality pork pies are sold for consumption in the pub or to take away. 2014 East Midlands Cider Pub of the Year. Check out especially the many unusual rums, along with gins and a large well stocked fridge and shelves of bottled beers to drink in or take out.
Great lil place, staff are super friendly and always new tasty beer ...I've moved away from Hucknall now but still try n swing by to make a purchase whenever possible..
Great place to visit on own or with friends , fantastic drinks selection
I know from past experience that the beer shack is a great place for a good beer but on this occasion I was at the barber shop next door! So sadly, no beer passed my lips đ
This is a quiet and unassuming micro pub with a wide selection of ales. Staff are friendly and it feels rather homely.
Great beer, friendly staff, the oldest and the best micropub in Hucknall!

You know when youâve entered a proper pub. Itâs a sense, not a blueprint and it differs from location to location because it reflects both the needs of its regulars and the personality of its owner.

Situated a stone's throw from Hucknall town centre, The Green Dragon is certainly a landmark pub and if it ever needed to reâestablish itself in the community, then it certainly has done now.
