05/10/22: business update. Although I have had good and not so good experiences here at Beer Nouveau, I learnt today that sadly they will be closing their doors once a buyer is sought. Hopefully, it will be an Au Revoir, as opposed to a Goodbye and we will see Owner Steve Dunkley rise again and create some more joy for others. It's sad that this great and interesting space, in an up and coming area, hasn't worked out. From a Prestwich home brew 8 years ago, to here under the Arches, what a transformation and an achievement to be proud of! Good Luck Steve! 29/09/22:. Not the first time here but on this occasion, we had the Ice Cold Brew IPA and the Brown Ale.
Affable, knowledgeable, great brewer, and above all hospitable. Don't mention special brew. Not because he'll be offended, just because the conversation as to why he's not offended will take too long
A wonderful micro brewery, with a weekend bar where you can taste from the full range of locally brewed beers, and spend time with Steve, head brewer/owner who is also a beer historian and can tell you almost anything you want to know about the beer available, or beer in history!
Amazing place! I had great experiences in this place. The owner has a lot of knowledge of beers, it was a pleasure to sit with him and his friends.
There a very few places where you will get a warmer welcome than at Beer Nouveau. Steve (who owns the place) is friendly, knowledgeable and always willing to chat about his absolute passion for brewing and historical beer styles. Always a range of small batch beers available on the taps, and normally something to cater to everyone's tastes. It's a fair walk outside of the city centre (15 mins or so) but absolutely worth and and shouldn't be overlooked if you are into your beers.
