Stayed in hotel only. Room was small and dated but clean and comfy. Lovely breakfast and for the price, I had no complaints. I would stay again on my own :-)

My wife and I stayed there for 3 weeks. We had a nice clean room, the staff was very friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble for them to do for us. It was very convenient to pop downstairs to the pub for a drink in the evening. We had a free breakfast every morning which was cooked to order by a very friendly lady. We would definitely recommend the Pheasant Inn to anyone who would like a nice comfortable, reasonably priced place to stay. We are looking forward to booking another stay in 2024.

We stayed here on Saturday 9th September. The room was large and spacious. Unfortunately there was no mirror in the room? I had to put my makeup on in my compact mirror. The sheets were clean and there was newly fitted carpet in the room. I knew there was a shared bathroom when booking which was right next to our room. Unfortunately it wasn’t clean at all. A very strong odour of urine, damp and cigarettes. The bathroom door was covered in dirt and needed wiping down with bleach. We had breakfast the next morning which was edible. There was also cereal on offer as well as tea, coffee and juices. The breakfast room has wooden tables and floors which were sticky?! It all needed a good scrub with bleach. The people/ owners were lovely. It’s a very basic hotel and if cleaned thoroughly it could probably be quite a pleasant place to stay. Overall not great ☹️

Predominantly locals but welcoming. Dog friendly. Reasonable prices. Dart board and pool table. Decor a bit tired, no bells and whistles but nice place for a drink

I booked single room on my business trip. Reasonably close to my destination. Nice photos on the website, and clear information about shared bathroom. What I didn't know was that I booked bunker-like room. Ground floor, fair enough. Spacious like for one bed, but no window. Only glass in the wall, below ceiling, so the light from the corridor could sipped through. Very strong smell of damp, no air circulation. Bathroom upstairs, shared between 3 rooms I guess, just about 7 of us. Spacious and clean. I cannot complain, but hard to access at certain times. I had a comfy bed, really that is big plus, and lots of coffee and tea bags. I didn't dine there so I can't say anything about food. For breakfast you have a choice between cooked breakfast and cereal. Not bad. Very nice and friendly staff. I had a feeling that owners bank on families and couples rather than single travelers. For the room I got I think I overpaid.
