Immersed in beautiful scenery of rolling green hills, The Beambridge Inn is located near Wellington, Somerset, just a few miles away from junctions 26 and 27 of the M5.
Recently refurbished, this charming inn provides a unique blend of a characteristic country pub with modern, stylish rooms, each of which has been furnished to provide all that you need for your stay.
The Beambridge just hosted a birthday party for my wife in their function room. We had some guests who stayed in the rooms at the Inn and reported to me that the rooms were lovely. My wife has difficulty walking, but access was easy, with disabled parking around the back, which leads straight in where you will find the toilets, the through the door leading to the bar and dining room. So wheelchair users who want to enjoy the carvery or evening meal can do so with minimal difficulty. The staff couldn't have been more friendly, helpful, and accommodating. Not forgetting the chef/kitchen staff who arranged a fantastic buffet, which was amazing. I had so many positive comments about the quality of the food. The function room was excellent. We only had thirty people in our part, but the room will hold a lot more, suitable for weddings, conferences, and any family occasions. Lastly, I would like to thank Black Velvet DJ, who the Beambridge organised for me. I asked for a DJ to provide the entertainment and explained the type of music we would like and we weren't disappointed, the music, lighting and dance floor all added to making this venue the perfect place for a perfect birthday party. Went to the Beambridge for one of their Christmas Party Nights. Stayed overnight so we could enjoy the whole night even though we live fairly local. Our room was huge, clean if a little tired. Could do with freshening up. The 3 course Christmas meal was lovely. Fresh produce. Moist succulent turkey. The one critique I have is that the DJ was terrible. No personality. Couldn’t read the room. Had to ask for songs. Am I wrong in thinking that a half decent DJ doesn’t need to ask his audience for every song. Incompetent. The breakfast in the morning however, was worth the overnight stay. Cooked to order, very tasty and MASSIVE!!! Finally, all the staff were extremely friendly and polite.
We had a lovely few days here, we arrived at 6pm and our room was all clean and ready for us, the staff are very friendly and the food was excellent. I’m gluten free and there were plenty of options for my breakfast and evening meal. Great location for exploring Somerset. 😊
Went for a Sunday carvery. Parking a little tricky, but due to others taking up 2 spaces. Staff lovely, very kind and accommodating. Food very nice, other than roast potatoes which where very crispy, and hard to cut. Meat and veg choices where good, and all cooked well.
