Traditional hotel in a dark sky setting. They have an observatory, unfortunately closed when we were there. If arriving at night it is very dark (no street lighting). Food was excellent and the staff tremendous.
Dropped by before star gazing for a beer then booked in after for dinner. What an great decision as the food was extremely good! Dog friendly also all in all a great spot! We'd love to revisit and stay next time. The fire by the bar is super cosy
We enjoyed a lovely stay in one of the lodges. It was spacious and comfortable, and we were treated to a wonderful tasting menu. With produce from the garden being woven into the meal it was a real treat, and great value. We'll be back as soon as we are able!
Just returned from a secret escapes deal which included an 8 course tasting meal which was amazing. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Although the room was a little dated it was very comfortable and clean with the bathroom having every toiletry you could wish for. Great experience.
Lovely olde worlde hotel with beautiful conservatory and garden. The staff are wonderful at this hotel. So friendly and attentive. The food is outstanding. We were on a secret escapes deal including an 8 course tasting menu. It was the most amazing experience- a first for us. We absolutely enjoyed it so much. Breakfasts were extremely good - all served to the table. Rooms were very good, with fresh fruit and homemade biscuits! Excellent value at this hotel. Would recommend.
