Very busy at visit but was seated in conservatory atea where only one other table occupied with quite a noisy family. Waited over 1hour for food after ordering. Food good. But we felt a bit forgotten about. Police prescence there when leaving as something had happened at bar so glad we were not inthat room as had a child with us. Well done Oak staff for dealung with a teicky situation well. Happynew year
Lovely food, friendly staff, and great beer on tap. Been recently renovated to a high standard, which gives it a welcoming and family friendly atmosphere. Plus the food is amazing for the price! We can't stay away!
Nice friendly staff. Good choice of menu. Service friendly. Bit slow. Order a hot beef sandwich. After 15 to 20 mins waiteress came to say no beef. Entered up with chopped stake. So faired ok . Having said that, ordered wedges, ended up with chips. Also ordered brown bread came out with white. So it's an order what you want and we will bring out what we've got menu. Beer garden busy. Not surprised as the the weather was hot and sunny.
Went in for a quick meal. Service was excellent as was the food. If I'm passing that way again I wouldn't hesitate to go back. This is a dog friendly establishment. I had gammon, there's a good range of options for the trimmings.
Had a beautiful meal here tonight, mixed grill was brilliant, Hunter chicken for the son in law, steak for the daughter and roast dinner for the wife. Everything was well cooked & plenty my of it, the highlight though is the staff they were all friendly, attentive and very pleasant. We will call again. Used to live in south Elmsal 35 years ago and there’s been different ones here but it definitely has to be the best it’s ever been. Well done guys. You well deserved the five stars, and the tip 😉
